Description:

The original cottage of this project is located at the top of a sloped site. The design drawn upon the site condition to create an extension that incorporates different levels following the natural scarped terrain. Notwithstanding its southern orientation, the proposed roof design allows to bring natural light to the main living area, this point was one of the main requirement in the design brief. The main living areas are divided in two, the upper level brings the views into the space, creating a natural visual connection with the exterior and the lower living area is directly connected with the backyard, bringing the outdoor into the space.
