Description:

Modern, light filled extension to the rear of a existing cottage. The major design factor was to incorporate an open rear living area, with a modern, low scaled and minimalist design.

​

The open plan at the proposed rear living area opens to the courtyard, creating a connection between the interior and the exterior. Careful consideration of junctions between existing and new elements has allowed for a simple addition yet still creates harmony between modern and the existing cottage aesthetics.
